Sound

Nantathren play traditional and modern folk songs mainly from Scotland and Ireland. Their repertoire ranges from 'The Irish Rover' and 'Fields of Athenry' to 'Whiskey in the Jar'. But they also have a lot of less known songs as well as some instrumental tunes on their setlist.

Martin's voice, the guitar and the banjo may remind you of the Dubliners, while Jan adds a touch of The Pogues with his electric bass guitar.
Dominique adds a lot of variety with her soprano voice, and completes our music with the whistle and flute. Also she takes out the guitar when she sings or when Martin doesn't feel like playing the guitar to that song.

Besides club concerts and open-air gigs we also like to play at private functions. Many a wedding, birthday or other party has seen us play in the past.
